专刊征稿
此特刊由Wiley期刊The Journal of Quaternary Science 征稿
特刊话题:Palaeo-perspectives on anthropogenic soil loss and landscape resilience
征稿截止日期:2023年12月31日
特刊内容
The sustainability of anthromes (anthropogenic biomes) for human use depends on maintaining soil and ecosystem functions, although these have often been threatened by mismanagement and landscape degradation. Soil erosion, for example, affects not only upstream source areas but also downstream zones of sediment deposition in valley bottoms and via coastal progradation. It can also permanently alter the potential natural and agro-ecosystems that can emerge during subsequent landscape recovery.
This VSI will include thematic papers and regional case studies that explore how human activities linked to land cover change, coupled to climatic variations, have altered sediment flux from source (hillslopes, agricultural terraces…) to sink (alluvial plans, estuaries/deltas) over centennial to millennial timescales in different socio-environmental settings, and using a range of different investigative methods.
特刊话题
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
Climate, sustainability, resilience
Biodiversity loss
Adaptation to climate change
Source to sink - catchment dynamics
Landscape rewilding and restoration
Methods, to include among others:
sedDNA
microprobe work in micromorphology
stable isotopes
soil biomarkers
