On December 24, 2014, in the presence of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the CREC-AVIC INTL Consortium and the Department of Transport of Egypt signed the cooperation framework agreement for the 10th of Ramadan Railway Project.
埃铁项目被纳入首批中埃产能合作优先项目清单。
In 2015, the 10th of Ramadan Railway Project was included in the first list of China-Egypt priority projects for production capacity cooperation.
1月21日，中国中铁—中航国际联合体与埃及国家隧道局签署《埃及斋月十日城铁路项目EPC合同》。项目合同金额为15亿美元（约折合人民币98.82亿元），合同工期为30个月。
On January 21, 2016, the CREC-AVIC INTL Consortium and the National Authority for Tunnels (NAT) of Egypt signed the EPC Contract for the 10th of Ramadan Railway Project in Egypt. The contract price reached 1.5 billion U.S. dollars (about 9.882 billion yuan), and the duration 30 months.
11月14日，深圳地铁与中国中铁—中航国际联合体签订斋月十日城市郊铁路运营维护与沿线综合开发联合体框架协议。
On November 14, 2016, Shenzhen Metro and CREC-AVIC INTL Consortium signed the Framework Agreement on Operation and Maintenance of and Integrated Development along the 10th of Ramadan Railway.

12月3日，中车四方股份公司与中国中铁—中航国际联合体签署埃铁项目车辆供货合同，包括22列（132辆）市域动车组及12年维保服务。
On December 3, 2018, CRRC Qingdao Sifang Co., Ltd. (“CRRC Sifang” for short) and Chinese CREC-AVIC INTL Consortium signed the vehicle supply contract for the 10th of Ramadan Railway Project, including 22 intercity EMUs (132 cars) and 12-year maintenance service.
1月16日，中国进出口银行与埃及国家隧道局在开罗签署埃铁项目贷款协议，协议总金额12.39亿美元。
On January 16, 2019, the Export-Import Bank of China and NAT signed the loan contract worth 1.239 billion U.S. dollars for the 10th of Ramadan Railway Project in Cairo.

On August 31, 2021, the first two 220kV traction transformers arrived in Egypt and were directly sent to the 2# traction substation on September 13 and hoisted on September 16.

3月28日，首列轻轨列车由A段阿德利·曼苏尔（Adly Mansour）站始发后，顺利抵达B段终点站新行政首都2站（Arts And Culture City）站台，标志着埃铁项目AB段顺利通车。
On March 28, 2022, the first light rail train departed from Adly Mansour Station, the starting station of Section A, and arrived at Arts and Culture City Station, the terminal of Section B, marking the official opening of Sections A and B.
4月30日，A3区段顺利完成列车逐级提速试验，最高瞬时速度达125km/h。
On April 30, 2022, the step-by-step speed-up test of the train was successfully completed in Section A3, with the highest instantaneous speed reaching 125 km/h.
7月3日，斋月十日城铁路通车试运行。
On July 3, 2022, the 10th of Ramadan Railway was opened for trial operation.
