The main line of the Shantou Bay Tunnel opens to the public today.
连接内海湾南北两岸的汕头海湾隧道工程主线将于2022年9月28日上午10时起开通运行。
The tunnel is an all-weather and barrier-free transportation link between the north and south banks. One can cross the sea by car in just 6-8 minutes through the tunnel—that too for free.
该隧道通车后，将免费向市民开放，市民驾车通过隧道过海仅需6—8分钟，南北两岸真正实现全天候无障碍交通联系。
