BRI brings development dividends to the world

作为世界上唯一拥有联合国产业分类中全部工业门类的国家，中国产业链供应链面对新冠肺炎疫情冲击仍保持总体稳定运行。从高度自动化的大型机械设备，到提升出行效率的轻轨列车，再到绿色环保的电动大巴，中国制造走向全球，融入各国人民生活。通过共建“一带一路”，中国与各国共享发展红利，为各国人民增添福祉。

As the only country in the world that has all the industrial categories established by the United Nations, China’s industrial chains and supply chains have been generally stable despite the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak. Products made in China, from highly automated large mechanical equipment to light rail trains that improve travel efficiency and green electric buses, are going global and entering the lives of people around the world. China and other countries jointly undertake the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). This has produced development dividends and increased the wellbeing of people around the globe.

因地制宜，追求更优方案

Seeking better solutions on a case-by-case basis

叶海亚的家在埃及首都开罗的卫星城阿布尔市。在斋月十日城轻轨开通前，他每天上班需要先乘公交车，再换乘地铁，通勤时间约为30至40分钟。“现在轻轨开通，我可以直接乘坐轻轨上班，通勤时间大约10分钟，方便多了。”叶海亚兴奋地说。

Yahya lives in Obour, a satellite city of the Egyptian capital of Cairo. Before the opening of light rail in 10th of Ramadan, he must take a bus and then transfer to the subway to get to his workplace, spending 30 to 40 minutes every day. “The opening of light rail has made my trip to my workplace more convenient. I ride on it to go to work for about 10 minutes every day,” Yahya said excitedly.

斋月十日城轻轨位于开罗东部，是连接开罗老城区与新行政首都、斋月十日城和东部沿线卫星城的重要纽带，也是中埃共建“一带一路”务实合作的标志性项目之一。这条轻轨线路为往返于开罗老城区及新行政首都的约500万居民提供高效便捷的通勤服务，对发展埃及东部地区经济、推动埃及工业化进程有着重要作用。

The 10th of Ramadan Light Rail is situated in the east of Cairo. It is an important link connecting old Cairo with the new capital, 10th of Ramadan and the satellite cities along the rail in the east, as well as a landmark project built by China and Egypt under the BRI. This light rail line provides efficient, convenient traveling services for about 5 million residents commuting between old Cairo and the new administrative capital. It plays an important role in developing the economy of eastern Egypt and promoting Egypt’s industrialization process.

斋月十日城轻轨列车由中车青岛四方机车车辆股份有限公司（简称“中车四方”）研制提供。为保障乘客安全和舒适出行，中车四方运用了不少独特的设计和制造工艺。当地日间最高温度可达50摄氏度，紫外线强烈。为此，轻轨列车车窗采用双层中空充氩气玻璃，增加了传热系数小、可见光透色比低的镀层结构，并配备了铝合金遮阳帘。空调器件也进行适应性调整，有效提升空调制冷能力。此外，为应对风沙大的行车环境，列车安装了主动除沙装置，提高密封等级，有效过滤沙尘。

The 10th of Ramadan Light Rail tain was developed and built by CRRC Qingdao Sifang Rolling Stock Co., Ltd. (CRRC Sifang). CRRC Sifang has adopted many unique designs and manufacturing processes to ensure the safety and comfort of passengers. The local daytime maximum temperature can reach 50 degrees Celsius, accompanied by extremely strong ultraviolet rays. For this reason, the light rail train windows are provided with double-layer hollow glass filled with argon, a coated structure with a low heat transfer coefficient and a low visible light color transmission ratio, and aluminum blinds. The air-conditioning devices are also adjusted to improve their cooling capacity. In addition, to cope with the windy and sandy environment, the train is provided with an active sand removal device and improved sealing to effectively prevent sand from coming in.

“轻轨列车外观看起来很像中国的高铁，我觉得很亲切。”埃及乘客拉娜表示，曾在中国学习生活了3年，乘坐轻轨的体验仿佛回到了中国。“从阿德利·曼苏尔站到新行政首都的行程不超过45分钟，我和朋友们往来沿线城区更方便了。坐在车厢里感觉很稳、很快，这也让我觉得埃及的发展越来越快了。”

“The light rail train looks very similar to high-speed trains in China. It has shortened the distance between me and the remote country.” Egyptian passenger Lana told the reporter that she had studied and lived in China for three years. Riding the light rail train made her feel as if she had returned to China, she said. “The journey from Adly Mansour station to the new administrative capital takes less than 45 minutes. My friends and I find it more convenient to commute between the cities along the line. The ride is stable and fast, which makes me feel that Egypt is catching up in development.”

埃及交通部部长卡米勒·瓦齐尔表示，轻轨列车对埃及交通运输业转型发展具有重要意义，在提升交通水平和客运效率等方面发挥突出作用，这都得益于中国企业的技术设备支持。

Egyptian Minister of Transportation Kamil Wazir said that light rail train is of great significance to the transformation and development of Egypt’s transportation industry and that it plays a prominent role in improving the local transportation conditions and the passenger-transporting efficiency, thanks to the technical and equipment support from Chinese companies.

注重细节，获得用户青睐

Attention to details wins customer trust

家住西班牙首都马德里西南部的伊万每天都要乘坐33路公交车通勤。2021年7月起，伊万惊喜地发现公交线路换成了新的电动大巴——内部更宽敞、行驶更稳当、乘坐更舒适。“电动大巴提升了绿色出行的舒适度，也为城市低碳环保贡献了力量。”伊万说。

Ivan, who lives in the southwest of the Spanish capital Madrid, takes Bus Line 33 to work every day. In July last year, to his surprise, Ivan found that new electric buses were running on the bus line. They were more spacious, more stable, and more comfortable. “Electric buses make travel greener and more comfortable; they are contributing to the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions and environmental protection in cities,” Ivan said.

这条线路上的电动大巴由中国企业制造。2019年以来，中企比亚迪公司3次中标马德里市政交通公司电动大巴订单，带动了越来越多西班牙城市和欧洲国家选择“中国制造”。目前，比亚迪在欧洲已获得超过2500台纯电动大巴订单，市场占有率超过20%。

The electric buses operating on this bus line are made by Chinese enterpries. Since 2019, the Chinese company BYD has won three bids for electric bus orders from Madrid Municipal Transportation Company. More and more Spanish cities and European countries now opt for Made-in-China buses. BYD has received orders for more than 2,500 all-electric buses in Europe, with a market share of more than 20%.

“注重细节和创新是中国企业快速获得欧洲市场认同的重要原因。”比亚迪欧洲分公司及国际合作事业部总经理舒酉星说。目前，比亚迪欧洲工厂生产的车辆均根据客户需求优化调整，实现个性化服务：疫情防控期间，开发出可减少病毒传染的抗菌扶手、空气净化装置等，驾驶区采用全包围结构，降低感染风险。

“Attention to detail and innovation are reasons why Chinese companies can quickly gain recognition in the European market,” Shu Youxing, general manager of BYD’s European branch and international cooperation division, said. The vehicles produced by BYD’s European factories are optimized and adjusted according to customer needs to achieve personalized service. During the outbreak of COVID-19, BYD developed antibacterial armrests and air-purifying devices that can reduce virus infection, and the driver area adopts a fully enclosed structure to reduce infection risk.

西班牙IE大学中国研究中心主任菲利克斯·巴尔迪维索认为，欧洲愈发重视可持续发展，中国电动车制造商的丰富经验将助力当地交通绿色转型。“中国不断加大科研投入，制造业现代化转型进程不断加快，将在全球获得更广阔的市场空间。”

Felix Valdivieso, director of the China Research Center at IE University in Spain, said that Europe attaches increasing importance to sustainable development and that the rich experience of Chinese electric vehicle manufacturers will contribute to the green transformation of local transportation. “China continues to increase investment in scientific research, and the modernization and transformation of its manufacturing industry continues to accelerate. This will open up broader market space in the world.”

培养人才，员工获得感强

Employee training delivers a strong sense of gain

一大早，海信南非工业园内的电视机厂已经忙碌起来了。58岁的车间主任瓦莱丽步履矫健，在各条生产线之间来回巡查，严格把关产品质量。

The TV factory in Hisense South Africa Industrial Park got very busy early in the morning. The 58-year-old workshop director Valerie walked briskly, patrolling the production lines to ensure product quality.

海信南非工业园位于南非开普敦市区以北约50公里，由中非发展基金和海信联合投资建设。家住开普敦亚特兰蒂斯地区的瓦莱丽以前只能靠做零售小生意勉强支撑整个家庭。2013年，得知海信南非公司在附近建了工业园，瓦莱丽立即前去应聘，经过9年时间，她从一名普通工人成长为车间主任。

Hisense South Africa Industrial Park is located about 50 kilometers north of Cape Town, South Africa. It is jointly invested and constructed by the China-Africa Development Fund and Hisense. Valerie, who lives in Cape Town’s Atlantis area, used to struggle to support her entire family with a small retail business. In 2013, when she learned that Hisense South Africa had built an industrial park near her home, Valerie immediately applied for a job. She went from an ordinary worker to a workshop director within nine years.

“我为在海信工作感到幸运，海信给我的家庭生活带来了巨大改变，收入增加了，家里还扩建了房子。”更让瓦莱丽自豪的是，她参与生产的海信产品在南非大街小巷的电器商店里都能看到。目前海信电器在南非的电视与冰箱市场占有率稳定在30%，双双位居行业第一。

“I feel lucky to be able to work at Hisense. Hisense has made a huge difference in the life of my entire family. Our income has increased, and we have renovated our house.” What makes Valerie even more proud is that the Hisense products she produced at Hisense can be seen in electrical stores all across South Africa. Hisense TVs and refrigerators enjoy a stable market share of 30% in South Africa, both ranking first in their respective industry.

据了解，海信在南非投资建厂，直接提供了约1000个就业岗位，间接创造了5000个工作岗位。近年来，海信通过职业辅导计划对当地雇员展开培训，目前约有70%的管理岗位由当地员工担任。

Hisense’s investment in South Africa created 1,000 jobs, on the basis of which 5,000 other jobs have been generated. In recent years, Hisense rolled out a career coaching program to train local employees. About 70% of management positions are held by local employees.

南非西开普省前省长易卜拉辛说，海信南非公司重视技能培训和技术转让，本地化率超过98%，劳资关系和谐融洽，生产环境优美，展示了南中互利合作的新景象。

Ibrahim, former governor of Western Cape Province of South Africa, said that Hisense South Africa attaches great importance to skill training and technology transfer, with a localization rate of over 90%. The harmonious labor-management relations and beautiful production environment are reflective of the mutually beneficial cooperation between South Africa and China.
