Chinese EPC Contractor for power plant would from the time of tendering of the project, determine its intention to use Chinese Codes and Standards, considering the costs involved. Normally Chinese contractor acknowledged from early in the project a requirement to adopt the specified US codes and standards for all Key Equipment. But the Chinese codes and standards would be adopted for the Non Key Equipment. This will set out as early as in Draft Project Execution Plan。

This is because their existing production lines for the volume of work they carry out for projects within China are based on Chinese codes and standards。
